When you buy a new GMC truck or SUV, it’s covered by a comprehensive warranty. In the event of any issue with the materials or labor used in your vehicle’s manufacture, the issue will be corrected by GMC-trained technicians using GMC-approved replacement parts. As your St. Louis GMC dealer, we want to tell you more about the protection you receive from a GMC warranty.

From Your GMC Dealer: Understanding Your 2025 GMC Warranty

Bumper-to-Bumper Coverage

This warranty covers most of your GMC’s systems and components except for those covered in the warranties detailed below. It applies for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Certain types of damage are not covered, including unauthorized repairs, damage due to lack of maintenance, and accidental damage. All excluded situations are detailed in the warranty handbook.

Tire Coverage

Your tires are also covered by this warranty although they’re not manufactured by GMC. If you need a replacement tire, the full cost of labor, installation, and balancing is covered by warranty. The cost for a replacement tire is covered in full for the first year, then pro-rate for the remaining two years.

Powertrain Coverage

The powertrain consists of the engine, transmission, transaxle (if equipped), transfer case (if equipped), and drive system. All components in these systems covered by warranty are listed in your handbook. These include the cylinder block and heads, the timing gears, all internal transmission components, and all internally lubricated parts in the drive systems. Coverage applies for five years or 60,000 miles.

Extended Engine Coverage

If you have a Sierra TurboMax engine or a 3.0L or 6.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, the engine and all its components have extended protection for five years or 100,000 miles. This extended coverage does not apply to other powertrain components.

Restraint System Warranty

Your seatbelts, airbags, and all related systems, are covered for six years or 72,000 miles.

Surface Corrosion

All the sheet metal and body panels are protected against rust for three years or 36,000 miles.

Rust-Through Corrosion

Rust-through is corrosion that forms a hole through metal from one side to the other. All the metal in your GMC is protected against this type of damage by specialized applications added to the metal during manufacture. This warranty applies for six years or 100,000 miles.

Roadside Assistance

Roadside assistance is available 24/7/365 for your warranty duration. If you encounter a problem, expert technicians will be dispatched to help you. They provide numerous services, including fuel delivery, jump-starting, vehicle unlocking, and emergency fuel delivery. The service is free, but some items, like fuel delivery, must be paid for.
