2022 GMC Yukon XL
If you're looking for a full-size SUV that gives you and your crew plenty of space to relax and enjoy the ride, you can't go wrong with the 2022 GMC Yukon XL. This substantial SUV is a larger version of the popular Yukon, giving you the same reliable yet thrilling performance as the original. Plus, it comes with all sorts of fun features that make every ride more enjoyable and cutting-edge safety technology to help you drive with confidence. After you take a ride in the 2022 Yukon XL, you won't want to drive anything else.
Trims (Exterior)
With four trim levels to select from, there's a Yukon XL for everyone. Each trim in the Yukon XL lineup measures 225.2 inches in length, making them 15.2 inches longer than the original Yukon models. The XL SLE and XL SLT feature the iconic GMC-lettered grille and C-shaped headlights that GMC vehicles are known for. On the XL AT4, you'll find intricately designed wheels measuring 20 inches, Goodyear all-terrain tires, and a skid plate with a 32-degree approach angle. The XL Denali comes equipped with a trim-exclusive multidimensional grille, a dual exhaust system with polished stainless steel tips, and chrome accents. Exquisite exterior color options include Redwood, Midnight Blue, and Satin Steel.
Engine (Power)
No matter which trim level you choose, you can expect your Yukon XL to deliver the power you need for every journey. The XL SLE and XL SLT come equipped with a 5.3-liter V-8 that puts out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. With the XL AT4 and XL Denali, you have the option of upgrading to a 6.2-liter V-8 that generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. If you want a diesel-powered Yukon XL, a 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine is also available. It has an output of 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, giving the Yukon XL an 8,400-pound towing capacity when paired with the Max Trailering Package.
Performance
Every engine in the Yukon XL lineup teams up with incredible performance dynamics to give you a driving experience unlike any other. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes standard, optimizing engine output and efficiency while enabling quick yet smooth acceleration. With the available two-speed AutoTrac transfer case, your Yukon XL can switch between four-wheel and two-wheel drive, giving you maximum traction on unstable surfaces and conserving fuel when driving conditions are stable. If you go with the AT4 or Denali, you can take advantage of a first-in-class four-corner adaptive suspension that can raise or lower the vehicle.
Interior
Because the Yukon XL is longer than the Yukon, it gives you 41.5 cubic feet of cargo space. That's 16 more cubic feet than the original. You can also take advantage of premium seating surfaces that are comfortable and easy to clean, a heated steering wheel, and tri-zone climate control with air filtration. Use the GMC Infotainment system to stream music, get traffic updates, and send hands-free texts.
Safety Features
The 2022 GMC Yukon XL gives you several intelligent safety features, including a forward-collision alert that detects potential collisions and applies the brakes as needed. Front pedestrian braking and automatic emergency braking provide additional braking support when necessary. The Yukon XL also comes with advanced cruise control, rear cross-traffic monitoring, and lane-keeping assistance.
