2023 GMC Sierra 1500
A truck that works and plays as hard as you do, the GMC Sierra 1500 is back for the 2023 model year. You can haul equipment to the job site with excellent towing capabilities or pull your toys to your next adventure destination. Here are the features of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 that have truck aficionados raving.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Eight trims are available for the GMC Sierra 1500 for the 2023 model year: Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. Beginning with the entry-level Pro, standard features include 17-inch Silver painted wheels, cab-mounted cargo lights, a chrome front bumper, and a CornerStep rear bumper. The SLE adds Bright Silver wheels, cargo bed LED lighting, a GMC MultiPro Tailgate with EZ lift assist, and heated power outside mirrors.
The Elevation sits atop high-gloss black 20-inch wheels while adding body-color bumpers and unlocking options such as an illuminated front GMC emblem and assist steps. Next up, the AT4 rolls down the road on 22-inch wheels and adds a 2-inch factory lift, while the all-new Denali Ultimate gets you a distinct grille in Vader Chrome and exclusive badging.
Engine (Power)
Several engines are offered for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500, depending on the trim you choose. The standard fitting is a 2.7-liter high-output engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. A 5.3-liter V-8 EcoTec3 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.
The next engine is the sole diesel offering, a 3.0 Duramax turbo-charged diesel that churns out 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. The last engine on the list is exclusive to the AT4X, a 6.2-liter V-8 that delivers 420 horsepower.
Performance
Performance-enhancing features are found across the trims of the 2023 Sierra 1500. Stop/start technology powers off the engine at idle, helping to boost the fuel economy. You also get an automatic locking rear differential and an optional Cat-Back performance exhaust system. Most trims feature rear-wheel drive standard, but to get the most out of your truck, opt for the four-wheel drive. The off-road-ready AT4 adds off-road specific features such as an off-road suspension system and Rancho monotube shocks and has a maximum towing capacity of 9,000 pounds.
Interior
A hard-working truck that can also rival a luxury vehicle with its plush cabin describes the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. Beginning at the SLT trim, you get a 13.4-inch color touchscreen display and a 12.3-inch driver information center, while the Elevation will add heated front seats. Opt for the AT4 to add heated and ventilated front seats, a leather heated steering wheel, and a wireless charger. The Denali Ulitmate features an Alpine Umber interior with 16-way massaging power front seats and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
Safety Features
Standard safety features for the 2023 Sierra 1500 include a following distance indicator, a forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and an HD rear vision camera. You also get lane keep assist with a lane departure warning and an advanced airbag system. Additional safety features can be added to your 1500, such as lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic braking, rear park assist, and rear pedestrian alert.
